VOLUNTEER
Volunteers are integral to The Native Plant Center’s success—primarily assisting in our gardens and at plant sale. Most of the roles are physical in nature, requiring the ability to stand, lift, pull, etc.
In the gardens: Volunteers are essential in maintaining our demonstration sites and other areas, while learning hands-on about native plant gardening, invasive plant management, and nature observation. Work sessions are typically scheduled twice a week, March through November.
For Plant Sale: Volunteers are needed during a 10-day period in April for a variety of tasks, including unloading delivery trucks, price-tagging plants, pulling orders, watering, and several other jobs.
If you’d like to volunteer for The Native Plant Center, please email us with your interest.
Internships
The Native Plant Center makes available a limited number of internships for high school and college students who want to develop hands-on experience in horticulture and expand their knowledge of conservation stewardship. For more information, email us.
